Definition: Trance

Trance, what is commonly used to describe the state one enters via Hypnosis.
Trance definition, relating to making positive changes can be described this way.
A half-conscious state characterized by an absence of response to external stimuli, a day daydreaming state. A state when your outward awareness is reduced. In this state one is more suggestible.

Some other definitions of Trance
Trance – A hypnotic, cataleptic, or ecstatic state in which one becomes detached from their physical surroundings.

Any state alteration from a pre-calibrated baseline state. Commonly used to refer to states induced by someone using hypnotic techniques, whether self or other.

Trance 1) a state of altered consciousness, somewhat resembling sleep, during which voluntary movement is lost, as in hypnosis
2) a stunned condition; daze; stupor
3) a condition of great mental concentration or abstraction, esp. one induced by religious fervor or mysticism
in spiritualistic belief, a condition in which a medium passes under the control of some external force, as for the transmission of communications from the dead during a séance
